Healing

Reiki

In its simplest form, Reiki (pronounced ray-key) is me placing my hands on another being, or a few inches away from them, with the intent to bring healing and balance.  As a conduit, I’m able to transfer Universal Life Energy to assist in bringing balance back, regardless of the cause.

Reiki has been used effectively for thousands of years to treat a wide variety of ailments, and is also extremely beneficial for relaxation and as a way to continue good health for humans and animals. From my experience, animals love Reiki and most often are very open to receiving this type of healing.

Karuna is a Sanskrit word that means ‘compassionate action,’ or ‘any action taken to benefit another being.’  Compassion, when combined with energy, has great transformational power.  This next level of Reiki is an amazing way to amplify the intense, yet gentle, healing power of Reiki, and also to target specific areas that are in need of healing and balance. Karuna Reiki also can include chanting and toning for deep healing.

Some benefits of a Reiki treatment can be:

  • Helping the body/mind/spirit get back into balance
  • Increase in awareness and intuition
  • Working on healing the whole person/animal
  • Amplifying what energy you already have
  • Working on the causal level of imbalance
  • Releasing stress
  • Alleviating symptoms from PTSD
  • Helping release stored negative emotions

As a Reiki practitioner, I am not responsible for generating this healing energy.  I am allowing the higher energy to flow through my body, acting as a channel of healing energy.  And, as energy knows no boundaries, I am also able to focus Reiki energy and send it remotely.  So, treatments can occur in person or thousands of miles away.

Animal Communication

I have communicated with animals all my life, but when I finally really learned how to hear what they were saying, to really listen with my heart, my life changed dramatically.  This type of communication allows me to bridge the gap with humans and their non-human companions. Communication with an animal can help us to listen to them and find the cause of imbalances. It can assist animals to understand changes in their lives and alleviate stress.

We’re all capable of telepathic communication; it just takes some training and practice.  When we draw on the energy and the love that is greater than us, we open ourselves to so much more, to seeing beyond our egos and seeing what is true, what is of value.

When you look at the roots of the word ‘telepathy’, you’ll find that it means “feeling across a distance.”  Telepathic communication involves the direct transmission of feelings, intentions, thoughts, mental images, emotions, impressions, sensations, and pure knowing.  Any, or all of these can occur during a conversation.

Animal communication is really a Soul Connection.  It’s two souls touching, a spiritual connection that is more profound than what we’re used to with each other.

A conversation with your animal companion can be done in person or remotely – it’s a Spirit connection that knows no boundaries.  I don’t need to be with them physically in order to hear them and communicate with them.

Vibrational Healing

Tuning Forks:

Tuning Forks are powerful, deeply transformational, non-invasive healing.   They incorporate sound vibration via specially tuned forks onto acupuncture/acupressure, and other key points on the body, to re-harmonize and attune the energy field (humans and animals). Both the sound and the vibration of each fork can be relaxing, healing and also clear energetic blockages which can lead to further healing.

Color Therapy:

The system I was taught was originally developed by a scientist for institutionalized autistic children. The hope was that by determining the appropriate undertone and intensity for each child, it would help to calm the child and improve their lives. It was discovered that with color therapy alone, not only did the children calm down, but the vast majority of these children were actually able to return home to live with their families. The vibration of color, and our physiological response to undertones and intensities can have enormous impacts on our lives and our healing – not just with autistic people, but all living beings. Something that seems so simple, can be so very powerful.

The effects of color on our moods, health, and way of thinking have been studied by scientists for years. Your preference for one color over another may be related to the way that particular color (undertone and intensity) makes you feel.

Colors are visible light energy of certain wavelengths. Photoreceptors in the retina, called cones, translate this energy into colors. The retina contains three kinds of cones: one for blue, one for green, and one for red. We perceive other colors by combining these colors.

When the energy of color enters our bodies, it stimulates the pituitary and pineal glands. This in turn affects the production of certain hormones, which in turn affect a variety of physiological processes. This explains why color has been found to have such a direct influence on our thoughts, moods, and behavior-an influence that many experts believe is distinctly separate from psychological and cultural factors. Color seems to have an effect even on blind people, who are thought to sense color as a result of energy vibrations created within the body.
